Last year I started planting perennials for a cutting garden in our wee townhouse garden. This is the first bunch of flowers for my efforts. The favourable spring weather doesn’t last long in Atlanta and once the temperature rises most of these plants will quit producing flowers so I’m enjoying every blossom.

The rose smells heavenly.

When we retire I will have a cutting garden that blooms all summer long.

Hybrid Tea Rose, the last of the winter pansies and violets, Hall’s Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica “Halliana”), Salvia, Carnation Ruby’s Tuesday (Dianthus caryophyllus), Showy Primrose ‘Twilight’ (Oenthera speciosa), Boxwood clippings
