What I dream of is an art of balance, or purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter.
~ Henri Matisse
I’ve been absent because I’ve allowed myself to be mired down in a morass of worry and concern. But today I’m letting my shoulders relax and I’m focusing more on what I dream of than on anxiety.
Even in its rain, today was a beautiful day.
How can it be mid-July? What happened to June, Canada Day and the 4th?
I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June.
I think it would be heavenly.

“We were made to enjoy music, to enjoy beautiful sunsets, to enjoy looking at the billows of the sea and to be thrilled with a rose that is bedecked with dew.”
– Desmond Tutu, religious leader
We went to Lake Oconee (featured picture) this past weekend and I took dozens of pictures of sunrises, sunsets, and the lake. G doesn’t really understand it, but I can’t help myself from being awed by the beauty, and wanting to capture it forever.
